Low IQ intel test promoters

Just to show how arrogant, inconsiderate and stupid they are, agents for the so called "christians" of the website www.2besaved.com, placed in our mailbox a flyer labeled "for the thinking mind Intellegence Test", which cotains a list of 14 questions, with the answers on the back of the flyer. (8 are basic comprehension questions and 6 are hevily loaded Bible questions.)
What I find most irritating about this is not the fact that the flyer is so biased but the fact that our mailbox is Clearly labeled " NO CIRCULARS, ADVERTISING, FLYERS OR OTHER JUNK MAIL ".
The item in question is not marked as a registered newspaper and is not addressed so it clearly comes under the heading of junk. It is therefore patently obvious that the distributors are eithor;
a: unable to read and comprehend plain english or;
b: under clear instructions to ignore the wishes of householders.

This is not a "bash the christians" post, it is a "bash arrogant advertisers post", other prime offenders in this catergory are real estate companies, notably Barfoot & Thompson and Ray White Real Estate.

Furhter to the On-Line antivirus

TM supports and distributes it's software thrugh a company that ignores all my complaints and queries posted through snail mail. I still have not recieved the anti-virus update that I paid for in December of 2004 and have lost several meg of irreplaceble graphic files to a spybot since. T, you need to fix this!!!! I WILL NOT PAY TO CALL for something that I have already paid for!

I had to get my cat put down this morning. 15yrs old, black NZ shorthair. He had been off his food for a couple of days, then yesterday afternoon, he sudennly could not walk straight. Being a very active animal, I thought he may have just hurt himself hunting, as he had done in the past. Later in the evening, I found a very rotten discharge (or so I thought) on the underside of his neck. I called the vet and discussed the problem with him. We came to the conclusion that he had probably been fighting again and it was all due to an abcess and to bring him in this morning for a check over, possibly a course of antibiotics. Took him in, on initial examination, we decided that we would do a series of blood tests for possible kidney or liver failure and book him in later in the week for some dental work.
However, I was still a little concerned about his difficulty walking as a friend of mine has had a cat with pulled tail syndrome in the past, so I put him on the floor for the vet to watch him walking. That called for an immediate re-examination, leaving us with the conclusion that he was suffering from ataxia ( a loss of sense or control of his limb placement), probably due to brain damage, most likely brought on by a stroke sometime in the last few days and rapidly degenerating.
We spent some time discussing the various options, keeping in mind the probable protracted period of discomfort and pain compared to Caesers' projected future quality of life, especially given his advanced age. I took the decision to have him put down right there and then, while he could still recognise me and still purr.
I have brought him home to bury.

About time I posted another pathetic dribble from my point of perception. Some of the Americans out there may appreciate this one.
Anyway, as it happens, for various reasons, I used to bowl league but gave up around 7 years ago. When I quit, I had a 42 handicap. This year, I decided to start again. Purely by coincidence, the league I used to bowl for has just moved back to my local lanes aftere a 5 year break that I knew nothing about. So, I assembled a team of total newbies from work and entered us in this league, one night a week. Imagine my horror, to find that on the first night back, I wound up bowling a 151 avg (29 handicap), then the next week, compounding what I thought to be a fluke and hitting 150 avg.
Okiedoe I think to myself, I'll just pop down tonight and have a couple of quiet practice games on my own and see what happens.....124, 158.
Ahha, this is still in a similar area, considering that both the previous series ended on 185 games.
Meanwhile, I have been being watched by some people from the league that is about to play tonight and get invited in to act as a fill-in/reserve to cover for a missing bowler.....OK, no harm in this is there?
End result of the series, 150 avg!
Lest you wonder what the problem is, I have not bowled for the previous 7 years, my original style was R/H backup and I have a very uniquly drilled ball to fit my hand pattern. In the intervening years, my style appears to have drifted to a very nearly square-on approach (head-pin strikes...*cringe*), but still requiring the same wierd finger pattern.
Actually kinda curious to know if anyone else has encountered a similar improvement after a long hiatus from any sport.

On-line purchase of AntiVirus software

A problem has arisen when I upgraded my antivirus software. The product in question comes from one of the top 3 or 4 suppliers in this field, a company I have always had trust in. In the past, I have always purchased my antivirus software off the shelf, generally a product from this company. Just prior to xmas, I decided to do an online upgrade, paying, (with permission), via my flatmates credit card. The payment has been taken from the credit card company but my upgrade has not been confirmrd or even acknowledged. I have raised this problem with our local area online sales people and all I get is eithor a 'pay-per-minute' ph num or a collection of url's to get help from. In the meantime, I am having to manually clean my system and put up with these annoying pop-ups stating that my AV liscence has expired....!
I wonder, should I
a] name the company in question
b] attempt to take legal action for web based fraud
c] try to reason with their complaints dept again
d] direct them to read this post prior to a combination of a,b,c
e] some other reasonable action
Sugestions are welcome, preferably not those inviting me to take an unusual phisical action or to improve my spelling. I would like to see some practical, pertinent comments....lol.

What is it with Christians?

What is it that makes them push their bigoted, chauvinistic, narrow-minded view down everybody else's throats in some bizarre misconception that their's is the only possible way to live?
Perhaps I am wrong and this only happens in predominantly english speaking countries with a high caucasian demographic.
What about it people? Do you get 'born again Bhuddists' or 'new age Shinto' or etc leaping out from all over screaming that they have the only solution to the worlds problems?
Seriously, how many of these so called Christians actually have a 'christian attitude' i.e. turn the other cheek, help your fellow man no matter what their race/creed/colour?
Also, how many of them actually bothered reading the bit in the Bible where Christ instructed his followers not to worship him but his Father?
Not being an actual student of comparative religion myself, I'm not sure how many other religions there are out there with as many or more rewrites and rewordings of their prime holy book. As far as I know, neithor the Torah nor the Koran have been butchered about as much as the Old (torah) and the New (assorted stories wrtten over several hundred years) Testaments of the Christian Bible. (Not even going into the previous editing done with the Roman Catholic, Protestant, Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Baptist etc variants).

I suppose a possible use for this space would be to use it to publish all the scribe notes I never get around to doing for the various RPGs I'm in.......nah, too easy.
I'll just do what most others do and use it to post stuff of no possible interest to anyone else .

A Reason?

I created this blog as a place to post random junk, and also so that if I make comments on other peoples blogs, they have somewhere to lay the blame. Most of my comments on other blogs are restricted to the public ones of web cartoons.
